Hello! My name is Gracen Guy and I am an artist located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. 

At the core of my artwork is storytelling. No matter the medium I work with, my art always tells a story. These stories can be as simple as the moment in time that inspired them or can become a detailed work that is riddled with symbolism. I find a lot of inspiration in history, in deciphering symbols that we see everyday and often overlook. Other times Inspiration is a funny thing that can often catch me off guard. Ultimately it comes from the mundane, the tiny moments in life that greet your mind and encourage it to go beyond. It can be the way the sunlight trickles out from a forest canopy to the face of a stranger I see in passing. My brain likes to take these moments and capture them, to twist them into something new. 

My artwork gives me a way to express myself through creating the little stories in my head. Hopefully, whether through adorning your body or your home, my artwork will help you express aspects of yourself and become a part of your own story!
